Bio
Taranga is a creative practitioner based in Bhaktapur, Nepal. Her practice interrogates the absurd and often centres on kitsch, employing these aesthetics as tools to deconstruct and interpret the world’s chaos. She is currently developing her second short film, tentatively titled ‘This is True / This is Not Untrue ‘(यो सत्य हो / यो झूट होइन).
Focus Areas for Exploration
Taranga is interested in exploring themes of care, ethics, criticism, and belonging within an increasingly fragmented world.
Through the Young Critics Program, she hopes to engage with non traditional ways of knowing and doing, while fostering collaboration, critical reflection, and dialogue that move beyond rigid ideologies, binaries, and inherited beliefs.
