Bio

I am Muhammed Raazi (he/him), a student at the interstice of two worlds, the traditional and the secular, while drifting, troubled yet tranquil, in the vast waters on the left side of the question mark.

Not quite East, not quite West, I attune my ears to the voice of desire that the symbolic tries to silence but cannot contain.

My practice is grounded in care: for my community, for dismantling the delusions of epistemic sovereignty imposed by alien worldviews, and for cultivating the conditions in which genuine appreciation and creation of art can flourish.

Focus Areas for Exploration

I am here to question the tradition in modernity and the modernity in tradition. Too often, solutions to our social, ethical, and cultural malaise collapse the space of the in-between, defaulting either to metaphysical hierarchy or libertine self-determination.

I want to resist both: the sheen of a nostalgic past beyond return, and the seduction of a future sold through techno-optimism.

Through this program, I seek to cultivate a critical practice responsive to desire, an inexhaustible force that refuses closure, and to explore how writing and conversation can open up new ways of being, making, and imagining together.
