Debraj Naiya is an independent filmmaker from Kolkata. He was born in Moipith, Sundarbans in 1989. He completed his preliminary education in Sunderbans and then he came to Kolkata for higher studies. Currently, he works as a primary school teacher in a school near Kolkata. Besides, he does filmmaking as a personal practice.
